We would like the guests to meet and mingle with each other in this intimate space. If you are wanting a five-star Hotel with air-conditioned rooms then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a personal, warm and intimate experience of hospitality then this is the right place for you!
We endeavour to give our patrons a holistic experience beyond the physical. The space has been designed according to ancient Vedic practice of Vastu balancing all the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. There is a meditation room for guests where they can practice their belief system. There is organic local cuisine that is available to guests on request. Our Spa has treatments from India’s ancient medecinal system – Ayurveda – where a doctor can diagnose your "Dosha" or "Excess" element in your constitution and recommend you custom-made treatments. Hence the entire eco-system of the property has been designed keeping in accordance to our philosophy.
We hope that guests feel rejuvenated and "complete" after their stay here. We serve you like its our duty and natural disposition not because there is a monetary transaction involved. It is a “home away from home” designed for the highly sophisticated traveler who want to experience this part of the Goa the local way. Having studied the area for many years we would like our guests to experience that Goa is more than just beaches and head-phone parties. Canacona, the southern most of South Goa district has a distinctive character of its own with its mountain-beach combination, wild-life sanctuaries and "unlike" Goan character all adding to the experience of your stay here.
Rohini, the seed of lunar energy, is represented in the celestial firmament by a very bright but pale rose star in the constellation of Taurus. The star in modern astronomy is known as Alpha-Tauri. Rohini translates into – the “Reddish one: or the “Growing one”. The color “Red” evokes notions of warmth, passion and liveliness. The ruling deity is Brahma, the creator, in the Hindu trinity. Rohini’s main symbol is an Ox-cart pulled by two oxen. Oxen have been used as fertility symbols by all ancient cultures.
In ancient times ox-carts were the “Wheels of commerce” and so Rohini is meant to be one of the most materialistic nakshatras. Common English words like “robust”, “romantic”, “romeo”, “rosy” seem to have the same root as the word “Rohini”. Its sexual animal is cobra. They are regarded as being adepts at sexual activity. In fact Rohini is supposed to be the most sexually adept among all nakshatras. Queen Victoria and Lord Krishna (Vishnu’s 8th incarnation), were born with moon in Rohini.
Keeping in mind the energy of this nakshatra this room tends to the most opulent.
