travelmob ( is an online marketplace for travelers to locate vacation rentals or unique accommodations across Asia Pacific. The unique spaces can be a cozy room, an entire apartment/house, a luxurious villa or even a boat house. The company’s vision is to enable travelers around the world to experience Asia like a local. Launched in 2012, travelmob provides a secure platform for property owners in Asia Pacific to list unique accommodations and experiences, and host global travelers seeking to experience true local hospitality and culture. travelmob was recently acquired by HomeAway, Inc. (Nasdaq: AWAY) in mid 2013 but continues to operate as a separate brand for the company.
travelmob Scouts (2 Openings)
travelmob Scout's main role is to establish a strong travelmob presence across Asia Pacific. We’re looking for relentless sales talent to help us grow our inventory of quality listings across Asia Pacific. The role will be predominantly telesales based, with opportunities to explore and execute alternate sales methods and ideas.

Your primary goal is to rapidly expand our database of quality property listings in your region (ensuring diverse and unique listings). You will also educate property owners about this exciting accommodation concept and help them discover how to make extra income from their extra space.

You must be result driven, target focused, incredibly charming and most importantly, become an ambassador of travelmob in your region.

We're looking for 4 Scouts to be based in the following regions:
  • Taipei
  • Cebu
  • Convert new and existing leads to list their spaces on travelmob. Listings must be activated,  complete with photos,  full descriptions and an updated calendar
  • Identify potential hosts that offer unique  &  exciting spaces
  • Get potential hosts excited about travelmob and encourage them to spread the word within their community
  • Follow-up with new leads and convert
  • An expert of your region–familiar with hip areas, best locations,  tourist hubs,  etc.
  • Previous experience in sales with a minimum of 1 year telephone-based experience
  • Super organized with an eye for detail
  • Exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communications  (in local language & English)
  • Friendly yet concise telephone manners
  • IT competent, some experience with CRM - tools or spreadsheet is a plus
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent is a plus
  • Passionate about the travelmob concept and loves the brand
  • Cold calling experience is a plus
  • Highly KPI focused and driven
  • Pleasant personality that blends well with an innovative and fast moving start-up environment

Customer Relations Executive
We're looking for multi-lingual customer service professionals to join our dynamic Operations team. If you are self-driven and have excellent communication skills, we would like to hear from you.

In this role, you will be helping our users via email and phone, working closely with our Sales and Product team to deliver a WOW experience.

  • Manage interactions between travelers (Guests) and property owners (Hosts) – ensuring both parties have the best experience on our site
  • Establish strong relationships with travelmob’s Hosts across the APAC region
  • Help educate our users on using travelmob’s product and services
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate issues appropriately
  • Assist in mediating situations between users
  • Work proactively to meet targets and goals
  • Work on multiple task simultaneously
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience (travel or real estate background is a bonus)
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Fluent in English and an Asian language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Indonesia/Malay)
  • Self-starter and a strong team player
  • Startup mentality and a strong desire to learn new skills
  • Self-motivated with a drive to excel
  • Able to work shifts that span weekends and public holidays
