Tower Hamlets is the borough east of central London, with very easy access to the city and central London by tube (Central line, District line and the DLR). There are also plenty of buses and night buses running 24/7 from all directions in London.
It forms the core of the East End, home to a lot of exciting history. Tower Hamlets lies east of the medieval walled City of London. Use of the term "East End" in a pejorative sense began in the late 19th century, as the expansion of the population of London led to extreme overcrowding throughout the area and a concentration of poor people and immigrants in the districts that made it up. It was also in these neighborhoods the infamous Jack the Ripper operated in 1888.
Today Tower Hamlets is a diversified borough of London, and the status has increased a lot over the last decade. This is where you find the amazing Brick Lane market, along with many hip bars. 10 minutes walk from Brick Lane is Shoreditch, which is one of the most popular clubbing areas at the moment.

Small studio situė in 5 min walk from bus stops and 10 min from Whitechapel underground station. However, you should know that this room is "homestay", suddenly we do not really feel with us. On the other hand, it has strictly necessary, fridge, washing machine, plates, TV... What is sufficient when there is very little time, turn quickly in the round otherwise. We have not seen the Jacuzzi as indicated in the announcement and our host will we has not talked about it.
Item negative, we are a bit manic, but cleanliness left much to be desired and to household and although not possible because neither broom or vacuum cleaner... After 5 days, it really was very limited. Especially with a child. Good point, the situation because the place is really well-connected to go wander through central London, as well as very hospitable hosts but that we dare disturb. Interesting rental for a night or two not more as still expensive for a room homestay.

I stayed at this place in mid June and had no issues with the place. The people I dealt with once I arrived were very accommodating and thank very much for making my stay smooth. Only thing I feel I can critic on, is I wish the shower had a shower curtain. would recommend this place to any friend of mine.

My daughter loved this adorable studio room - it's right at the top of the house in a safe residential area near Whitechapel road and the Royal London Hospital. With 2 windows looking out, there was good natural lighting and the studio is well heated (she was there in January). The studio had everything one would need including it's own bathroom with a tub. The hosts were warm, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We loved the location and all the bustle of Whitechapel Road - lots of little restaurants and shops and a street market that goes on until the evening hours. My daughter would love to stay here again!

This was a comfortable, basic flat. It had all the things we needed. I sprained my ankle, so the fact that it was located near the hospital was an advantage. The fact that it was a third floor walk-up was to my disadvantage, unfortunately. The people that own the home in which the flat is located are super nice. It was clean, and we were supplied with bedding and linens and dishes etc. On the weekend nights, it got a little loud as young people were partying nearby. But we were all young once!
