Day 2:
Leaving Langkawi at 8am for Koh Phetra, Thailand
We head north out of Kuah, Langkawi cruising up the east coasts of the big island of Langkawi and
Koh Tarutao, Thailand. Our first anchorage is at Koh Phetra. Koh Phetra is a spectacular limestone
ridge. The jungle-fringed cliffs are honeycombed with caves and overhangs, and this island is one of
the main birds’ nest collection points in the area.
55 nautical miles – about 9hours
This is a full day sailing and the longest passage on this trip.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided

Day 3: August 23
Leaving Koh Phetra at 9am for Koh Muk
Koh Muk is the home of the famous Emerald Cave. The entrance is an 80 meter, pitch dark passage
way leading to a completely enclosed circular cathedral like room with a diameter of 60 meters. The
walls are draped in lush foliage above a tiny patch of grey silica sand beach and an ethereal glow,
makes it seem as if you were encased inside an emerald looking out. We will need to take reliable waterproof torches and this experience will remain etched in your memory for the rest of your life.
25 nautical miles – about 4,5 hours
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided

Day 4: August 24
Leaving Koh Muk at 8am for Koh Phi Phi Don
The Phi Phi islands are now well established as southern Thailand’s most popular destination. The
islands are encircled by water so clear you can almost see the bottom from the surface. The
honeycombed cliff–faces rising from crystal clear water together with Phi Phi’s laid-back ambience
will always attract many visitors from the neighbouring tourist hubs of Phuket, Krabi and Phang Nga
provinces. We will over-night at the legendary big island of Phi Phi Don and we will visit the magical
sheltered Maya Bay found at Koh Phi Phi Le.
37 nautical miles – about 6 hours
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided

Day 5: August 25
Leaving at 8am for Ao Chalong, Phuket
The final day takes us to Ao Chalong at the southern end of Phuket Island. Here we will go through
immigration and you will be free to pursue your own itinerary from here on.
